The International Business and Trade Fair of Douala (FIAC) will blow on its 2nd anniversary in April 2020, at the CAMTEL Complex in Bepanda.

Organized in even years, alternating with the International Exhibition for Enterprises
SME and Partnerships of Yaoundé (PROMOTE), the FIAC is a result of the High Political Will of the President of the Republic, His Excellency Paul BIYA, to provide Cameroon with periodic international events to support the promotion of the national economy.

The complementarity of these two promotional events is aimed, at consolidating the foundations of a private sector and commercial activity in line with the challenges related specifically to the emergence of the Cameroonian economy, and broadly to the regional integration in Africa.

Through the FIAC, the city of Douala is thus acquiring a major economic and promotional event of international scope. The first edition which took place from the 24th of March to the 8th of April 2018, highlighted the « Made in Cameroon ». Among other things it has enabled many economic operators, both Cameroonian and foreign to present their know-how in trade and industry to professionals and a wide audience and at the same time, to promote their products and services through direct or deferred sales.

The FIAC is expected to increase in strength at the 2020 edition. The beginning of the pooling of resources and the operational synergy with another sister organization, PMEX-CHANGE, which has already produced four (04) editions in addition to an international forum for SME, augur well for a bright future in this regard.

This new initiative in our economic and event environment is in line with the Great Opportunities Policy advocated by the Head of State, the objective in this case being to facilitate the deployment of companies to meet potential consumers of their products or services and, therefore to stimulate national production and Cameroon’s rich potential, in the light of the operationalization of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AFCFTA).

I strongly invite all those who are interested in this great commercial mass to establish contact with the International Inter-Progress Foundation, mandated for its organization, as of now.
